On August 24, 2024, Unicons runners joined together in the GreenUp Long An Half Marathon 2024 – marking the third consecutive year this event has been held. This year, the race was particularly special as it coincided with the 20th anniversary of Coteccons. The marathon was not only a chance to celebrate athletic spirit but also part of the company’s ESG journey, with every 5km completed resulting in a tree being planted in the local community, contributing to environmental protection and sustainable development.
Each year, every season of the race leaves a unique mark in the hearts of Unicons participants. In the first year, runners experienced the scorching sun and strong winds of Central Vietnam (Quang Binh); in the second year, they got “covered in mud” with the nostalgic theme of childhood on the Binh Duong track. This third year brought an entirely new experience as Unicons runners navigated a course passing through Long An International Port, the tallest flagpole in Indochina, while taking in the distinctive atmosphere of the Mekong Delta.
The peak sporting spirit of Unicons was evident in every step along the route, as runners participated with enthusiasm, excitement, and a burning passion. They not only overcame physical challenges but also created emotional moments of camaraderie, cheering each other on throughout the race.
