In March 2018, as soon as the new International Standard for Occupational Safety and Health Management System ISO 45001: 2018 was announced to replace OHSAS 18001: 2007, Unicons – Coteccons Group pioneered the implementation of the system assessment and conversion. On April 17, 2019, Unicons was officially the first company in Vietnam construction industry in Vietnam to be certified with international standard by ISO 45001: 2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).
According to the ISO 45001 standard, Employers continue to take the role of system owner, in addition to direct participation, they also play a consultative role in developing policies, regulations, evaluations, and inspections. monitoring and improvement of Occupational Health and Safety, greatly contributing to the improvement of the Company’s safety management system. - Emphasize the responsibility and direct participation of the highest level of leadership in ensuring safety for employees, improving the performance of activities, continuously supporting resources for safety management systems and occupational health.
- Employers are allowed to participate, contribute and consult construction to improve the management system, occupational health and safety policies.
- In addition to risk management, ISO 45001 requires identifying opportunities before and during the course of the work to achieve regular improvements to the occupational health and safety management system.
